Documentary Films

Dena's traveled the country with Will Allen of Growing Power Milwaukee — from Detroit to Mississippi to the 9th Ward in New Orleans — documenting his training of urban/rural farming growing systems. This has culminated in an educational documentary called The Good Food Revolution.

She's also traveled to Mallard Island in Minnesota with photographer John Ruebartsch to document the life and legacy of Ernest Oberholtzer, one of the early conservationists who helped saved the Quetico Wilderness. This video has aired on Minneapolis Public Television.

Educational, Training, and Promotional Videos

Dena's work in this category covers a wide range of topics, from community health advocates to promotional pieces for dance and theatre, from educational presentations on saving the wilderness in northern Wisconsin to preventing gun violence in Milwaukee. Dena considers herself a grass roots videographer documenting and educating through the use of media the work of teachers, artists, farmers and activists.
